Manuel Ruiz Cobo is a Madrid-based Director of Photography.

He graduated in cinematography from the Madrid Film Institute in 2013 and began his career in the film industry working as first assistant camera and camera operator in several narrative and advertising projects.

In 2015, he shot his first feature film as Director of Photography, handling the second unit for “Los héroes del mal” directed by Zoe Berriatúa.

In 2020, he co-founded Grosso Modo together with director Carlos Santana, under which he works in the advertising industry as a Director of Photography.

Trained in digital cinema, he soon discovered his love for analog formats, ranging from 35mm still photography to motion picture film, both of which he regularly incorporates into his work today.
