Manuel Ruiz Cobo (Santander, 1988) is a Cinematographer and Film Photographer based in Madrid, Spain.

He graduated in cinematography in the Madrid Film Institute in 2013 and began his career in the film industry working as first assistant camera and camera operator in several narrative and advertising projects.

In 2015, he shot his first film as Director of Photography, performing the second unit in «Los héroes del mal» directed by Zoe Berriatúa.

In 2020, he co-founded Grosso Modo together with the director Carlos Santana. Under that name he works in the advertising industry as Director of Photography.

Trained in digital cinema, he soon discovered his love for the analog format from 35mm still photography to motion picture film, formats that he uses at work nowadays.
